  1. :

This is an awesome quilt. I have all the embroidery blocks done. There is an error on the amount of grey and white dot fabric. More fabric is needed. And the shop has already cut kits. . But I am confused about the cutting on the bike blocks. It says 8 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ which is what I cut them but I think the height and width is different in blocks 5 and 9. I am sewing out new blocks and want to make sure they are going to be cut correctly. HELP!!!! This is our retreat project for April at Sew Many Blessings. Is there a revised page for the errors in the book? I will be making some of my own projects and hope to upload them to your site later. Where do I send them to?

    What’s flex foam?

    • :

This is a Pellon product and can be found at craft stores or online. It is also made by Soft and Stable. We hope this helps. Happy stitching.

Flex foam is a stabilizer that is light weight and made of a thin foam. It works great with a variety of projects. We hope this helps!

I have purchased the Hello Sunshine Quilt CD and instruction booklet. I am in the process of ordering the fabric and embellishment kits. I like the version with the black border, but would like to see what the white border looks like, but cannot find a picture. Is a color picture available? Also, the book recommends using Shapeflex stabilizer. Can you specify what weight? Instructions also mention using flex foam — is this included in the kit? If not, specifically what kind do I purchase? Thank you!

There is a picture of the quilt with a white border on the back cover of the sewing version. Here is the link: href=”https://www.kimberbelldesigns.com/product/hello-sunshine-sewing-version/”>
We recommend using Shape-Flex to avoid puckering in the designs. You iron the Shape-Flex to the back of your fabric then use stabilizer in your hoop. We are not aware of different weights, but the kind we use is a Pellon product (SF101) and it comes on a bolt.
What is included in the kit will depend on the shop from which you purchase the kit. The flex foam we use is also a Pellon product and can be found at craft stores or online. It is also made by Soft and Stable. We hope this helps. Good luck.

This is a beautiful and colorful quilt. I wonder if it would be possible to have an alternative embroidery option for the embellishments like the felt flowers and the pin wheels? I use my quilts and I hate to have
to sew and unsew these embellishments every time I wash it.

This is a great suggestion Sharon. We will pass it on to our development team. We know some people choose to use velcro to attach the embellishments and there may be other ways to attach them without sewing and unsewing each time. We will look into making adjustments for future quilts. Thank you again for the feedback Sharon.

I just love this quilt pattern. I have made a lot of quilts, but none completely in the hoop. This one is great and I love to make Christmas, Halloween or any holiday ones.

I recently purchased this amazing kit.
Is there a video available to help me complete it ?
    Thank you.

    • :

There are several Tuesday Tips tutorials that may be helpful with certain sections of the quilt. https://www.kimberbelldesigns.com/tuesday-tips/
We do not have a video tutorial available to create the whole quilt, but if you come across any questions send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help. Happy Stitching!

The bench pillow design is cute but since I don’t make all the other quilt wallhangings, I would want to buy the embroidery version of the bench pillow design only. May I do that?

    • :

Hi Sheila, unfortunately the bench pillow design only comes with the full product rather than on an individual basis. But hopefully you are able to make the full quilt along with the bench pillow. They’d look great together!

when making the dimensional pinwheels,, instructions call for both the 4×4 small and 4×4 medium pinwheel files, but it doesn’t say where to use which size. Do I use the small for the flexfoam and the medium for the fabric portion? Please explain.
Otherwise, this is a really fun project.

    • :

Hi Dolores, Thank you for your message! There are 5 stitched out for the quilt. We used 3 large and two small. Just a variety. The pinwheels can be customized however you would like. The wall hanging project was 2 large and 3 small.

I have a question. I am getting ready to make the bench pillow. Also I am at work and book is at home. Want to get supplies. Can I get the supply list emailed to me. The only thing I can remember is the Mylar and I am not sure what or where to get that…
